Sprint PCS

Sprint PCS asked NACC to become one of the selected contractors counted upon to clear the frequency for Sprint PCS services being launched nationwide.  Sprint was in need of a firm capable of deploying on a national basis for such activities as negotiation, path survey, site survey, the development of statements of work, turnkey design and implementation.  Because of previous experience in projects requiring rapid and efficient build out, NACC was a natural choice.   The project specifically required microwave relocation capabilities nationwide.

The Sprint Microwave Relocation Project was unique.  It required professionals who could work with high level executives and corporate attorneys of organizations in both the private and public sectors for the purpose of relocation of mission critical licensed microwave systems.  Initial discussion focused on the description of the program, and the FCC guidelines.  This was followed by high level negotiation.  In many cases, after initial negotiation, NACC directed a path and site survey.  During the survey and analysis phase, NACC engineers and an NACC project coordinator would visit the Incumbent Communications Managers and Engineers on site in order to document the effort required for relocation.  Documentation of the survey work was then provided to Sprint.  If a turnkey effort was desired or required, NACC worked with Sprint to develop the high level and detailed design necessary for the resulting Statement of Work.
